Facebook’s iPhone App Gets A Makeover

And I couldn’t be more excited! I’m actually surprised that it’s taken this long for Facebook to give its app a facelift. The almost complete app doesn’t have a release date yet, but the developer is sharing a lot about what type of new goodies iPhone users can expect.

Included in the update: enhanced privacy settings, notes, pages, events (with RSVP functionality – FINALLY!), the ability to create new photo albums, easier photo tagging, message restore (when interrupted by a phone call), quick call or texting directly from friends’ pages, in addition to a brand-spanking new homescreen.

Once this update is unleashed, Tweetie & Facebook will be fighting for my affection.

iPhone Case Lust

I have a bad case of the changes. That is, I don’t spend too much time sporting one item. Usually this applies to purses, but lately I’ve been itching for some new iPhone gear. Well this itch couldn’t have come at a better time because I just found these awesome iPhone cases!

Unfortunately, after checking out the Etsy shop that makes these, I learned that they’re sold out. Boo-urns. Hopefully they’ll be restocked soon because my geeky heart is in love.

Do you use an iPhone case? Know where I can find a super cute one that isn’t too girly, but doesn’t scream “I eat babies!”?

iPhone Coasters

Just because I’m not completely in love with the iPhone yet doesn’t mean I can’t totally geek out with these iPhone coasters!

iPhone must-haves

Recently I joined the “I have an iPhone” club. I was skeptical at first – still am! As a phone, I don’t think it’s worth the hype. It’s great for incoming/outgoing data – keeping up with blogging, forums, emails, etc. But I think the never-ending list of applications is what makes this phone so great.

Without the app store, I would have returned the iPhone a week ago. I’m amazed by what these app developers are coming up with. If you haven’t had a chance to explore the app store, I highly recommend it. If you’re on the fence about purchasing the phone, check out the apps! There’s something for everyone and I guarantee you’ll make your life simpler by downloading one of them.

I’ve put together a list of my favorite applications that any iPhone user should have.

Do you have any of these apps? If you have one that you think should be on the list, let me know and I will add it with a link to your blog so people can ask you questions about it, should they have some.

Is Apple Bringing Sexy Back?

The answer is yes in my humble opinion.

Little bit of this, little bit of that

It seems Verizon is going to try to compete with the iPhone’s release in July. The Jaws of the cellular world will release three new LG phones to customers in June and July. They include the Dare, Decoy and Chocolate 3.

CrackBerry gives readers a sneak peak of the new Windows Live services for BlackBerry.

For $20, the Bierstick makes it possible to propel two cans of beer down your throat in less than two seconds. I know this is marketed towards men, but in all honesty, is it really necessary to include two women in their bra and undies in the ad? I can’t believe some things exist.

Even the guy who plays PC is a Mac. The girls at GeekSugar outed John Hodgman for being an iPhone user. Now he has admitted his devotion to Apple.

Gizmodo believes that over two years, the iPhone 3G will cost $160 more over the original iPhone due to the data plan prices.

First look: Human egg emerging from ovary. I’m sorry, this is gross and awesome at the same time.

July 11th

As you’ve already heard, the new 3G iPhone is official. No more rumors! It’s been the buzz of the Internet so if this is first you’re hearing of it, get out from whatever rock you’re under.

Though I have no intention of switching to AT&T or switching from my BlackBerry, I am pretty excited to read reviews and hear about experiences with the new iPhone. I remember the buzz when the first generation was released. I couldn’t help but get washed up in the hype. This time is no different.

The price tag alone makes me drool a bit. $199 for an 8GB and $299 for a 16GB. That’s practically a steal! I look forward to finding someone who gets the phone and having them write a review.

- first commercial for the new iPhone
- A complete list of countries to get the iPhone.

iPhone battery repair kit

I don’t have an iPhone, nor do I plan on owning one anytime soon – but I know many bloggers who are iPhone fiends. I urge you to wait for the new iPhone to come out before purchasing one!

Anyway, should your iPhone battery die, you don’t have many choices. You can send it to Apple and pay $85 to have it replaced, or you can pay $7 for a do-it-yourself kit. DealExtreme also offers FREE shipping!

Do iPhone batteries die often? Anyone with an iPhone here? Do tell!
